Where is camera footage and data stored?
Depending on the camera model, recordings may represent up to 365 days of continuously recorded video and audio. Verkada also uses Amazon Web Services (AWS) for cloud servers and storage of archived video and data. Org Admins can choose between the US, EU, Canada, or Australia as their preferred storage location.
Am I able to give access to specific cameras or users?
Yes, customizable permissions allow you to select which cameras users have access to—as well as what they can do with that access.
Is there a log of user activity for internal controls or compliance purposes?
By default, Verkada logs all user and camera activities in the Command Platform. Audit Logs are maintained at two different levels - organization-wide and per camera.
What are bandwidth and uplink requirements for video?
Since Verkada cameras record video locally, they don't consume as much bandwidth as typical IP camera systems; hybrid cloud cameras operate at 20-50kbps at a steady state.
Are video security features available in every jurisdiction?
